IMPROVEMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGAL REGULATION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF GENDER POLICY IN UKRAINE

Abstract

It is established that the purpose of the article is to determine the functions and principles of administrative and legal regulation of the implementation of gender policy in Ukraine. It was emphasized that socio-economic development and its support functions should contribute to the success and effectiveness of gender policy implementation in Ukraine on the basis of stimulation, provision, and social distribution. The author's approach to the normative reflection of the principles of implementing gender policy in Ukraine is substantiated, which consists in the need to change the name of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities of Women and Men" to "On Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities of Women, Men and Transgender Persons", where Article 3 should be supplemented with the second part, which would establish the system of fundamental principles (principles) of regulation. Based on the above-mentioned approach to understanding the functions of administrative and legal regulation of social legal relations, it is stated that gender policy is the sphere where the direction of the state's activities should be implemented in such directions as: establishing gender equality; prevention of discrimination based on gender; application of positive actions; prevention and counteraction of gender-based violence, including all manifestations of violence against women; ensuring equal participation of women and men in making socially important decisions; ensuring equal opportunities for women and men regarding the combination of professional and family responsibilities; family support, formation of responsible motherhood and fatherhood; raising and promoting the culture of gender equality among the population of Ukraine, spreading educational activities in this area; protection of society from information aimed at discrimination based on gender.
